Ruta de los murales en Villaherreros

This is a project led by the Villaherreros City Council and the Youth Without Borders Association that work to fill the streets with artistic works that reflect the town and its environment, the people who live there and their customs.
With the aim of giving visibility to this project, this Mural Route was born. Directed by the Villaherreros City Council, with the collaboration of the Palencia Provincial Council and Palencia Tourism, this initiative aims to offer residents of Villaherreros and visitors a walk that combines the fields of the province with an exhibition of street art that uses this town as a canvas giant outdoors.
For this, an illustrated map of Villaherreros has been created that locates the 14 murals that are currently in the town, including the name of the artist who created each one. In addition, the sites of interest in the municipality are shown - such as the parish church of San Román, the hermitages of Nuestra Señora de Vallarna and San Millán or the viewpoint of San Pedro - and the parks. These maps will be available to the residents of Villaherreros, and will also be placed in the places where visitors are received in the municipality, in the town's Town Hall and in the tourism promotion offices of the area and the capital of Palencia.
Ruta de los murales
Likewise, and for people who do not want to visit the town with the map in hand
Each mural is accompanied by an information plaque that includes information about the work and the person who made it, their social networks to learn more about their work and a QR code that redirects to their website.
In this way, the Villaherreros Mural Route aims to establish itself as one of the great attractions of the municipality, along with others already mentioned or the San Pedro wineries, which invite visitors to learn more about this municipality and enjoy the best street art. which, as you can see, is not only in large cities.
